A Board that empowers senior leadership
I believe we have an incredibly talented and brilliant senior staff - I want to work with them so that they feel empowered to continue the great work they are already doing.
I believe the role of the board is to strategically set a vision to help our children thrive. I want to be a part of a board that works with the senior team and does not hinder their work, but supports them so that they can focus on operations excellence for our educators and students.

My personal beliefs coincide strongly with the new School District Strategic plan and I am passionate about supporting the senior staff to implement the new plan through operations.

I believe in supporting our educators by being the best employer that we can be - providing the freshest and most innovative research, training, and development and promoting and supporting mental wellness.
I believe that our educators our the greatest asset to our children's education; thus, we have a responsibility to be the best employer possible to our educators and our students.
By committing to be an employer of choice, we will attract and retain the best educators from across the province. Furthermore, our educators will have job satisfaction that leaves them able to focus on what matters - teaching our students.

My work and commitment to the YMCA stems from my passion for all children to have equal opportunity.
I was fortunate to grow up in a caring and supportive family, with many opportunities that have supported me to success; however, many children do not have that privilege. For me, I feel this is unjust and provides our schools both a special opportunity and a huge responsibility.

I want to work and ensure that our district is supporting and enabling our staff with the resources they need and that our schools offer programming and supports so that our children have all their needs met, creating an environment where EVERY child can be successful.
