Municipal elections for Mayor, City Councillors, and School Board Trustees are held every four years.
The next Municipal Election will be held on October 20th 2018.

WHO CAN VOTE


To be eligible to vote in a Local Election you must be a Canadian Citizen, 18 years of age or
older on General Voting Day, a BC resident for the past 6 months, and a local Prince George resident for a minimum of 30 days immediately prior to the date of registration as an elector.

WHEN TO VOTE


General Voting Day is on October 20th 2018 from 8:00am to 8:00pm.
Advance Voting will be available from 8:00am to 8:00pm at varying locations and dates prior to General Voting Day.

 

WHERE TO VOTE


Voting Stations will be located throughout Prince George and will be wheelchair accessible. A list of voting stations for Advance Voting, as well as General Election Day are below.

ADVANCE VOTING STATIONS


Advance voting will take place from 8:00am to 8:00pm on the following dates and locations:
 

  • Wednesday October 10th – Prince George Civic Centre (Atrium)

  • Thursday October 11th – Pine Centre Mall (Centre Court)

  • Tuesday October 16th – Prince George Civic Centre (Atrium)

  • Wednesday October 17th – UNBC (Bentley Centre)

GENERAL VOTING DAY

Voting will take place on Saturday October 20th from 8:00am to 8:00pm at the following locations:
 

  • Blackburn Elementary School

  • DP Todd Secondary School

  • Edgewood Elementary School

  • École Lac des Bois

  • John McInnis Centre

  • Kelly Road Secondary School

  • Malaspina Elementary School

  • Ron Brent Elementary School

  • Vanway Elementary School
     

WHY VOTE

Voting is a Canadians democratic right to expressing their choice for representation in any level of government. Voting in a municipal election connects citizens with local issues and the political process. The results from the election will determine the incoming leadership of the community. Election results also give insight and indication to political leaders on their resident’s opinions on local matters.
